<p>Let&#8217;s start with the big one: Badiani. Initially opened in Florence in the summer of 1932 by Idilio Badiani, it&#8217;s been serving scoops of the best Italian ice cream to Londoners since 2016 and now has ten stores spread across the capital (and Brighton). The menu&#8217;s mouth-watering, from gelato cookies, crepes and cakes to traditional cones and cups filled with delicious flavours, such as the award-winning Buontalenti, which comes with layers of hazelnut-chocolate spread, plus a new Matcha gelato menu. Just add sauce. And sprinkles. Oh ok and a flake. </p>

<p>Dulce de Leche, cornflake, banana split, matcha, honeycomb, clotted cream &#8211; the range of flavours at this chi chi parlour are off the scale. Local producers who handpick everything (they even make their own honeycomb) and supply some of the capital&#8217;s top restaurants and cafés, we&#8217;re happy that they also opened their very own parlour where we can scoff gelato to our heart&#8217;s content. And did we mention then now do home delivery? </p>

<p>The Italian couple who run this ice cream joint which has recently reopened after a refurb couldn&#8217;t find a decent gelato in town, so they set up their own parlour in 2010 and haven&#8217;t looked back, winning awards and customers in droves. The ice cream&#8217;s made in small batches daily and there&#8217;s SO much choice, from traditional flavours like pistachio to the From Turin With Love menu which includes a fabulous Breakfast in Turin gelato (coffee with chocolate chip). A Special Flavour menu features flavours like fig ripple and liquorice, and you can also order sorbets (apricot is delish) and ice cream cakes. </p>

<p>More artisanal Italian-inspired ice cream can be found Stokie way thanks to this popular and award-winning Gelateria. The only  problem you&#8217;ll face (aside from a long queue, told you it was popular) will be which flavour to try thanks to a really diverse range of ice creams made from the freshest ingredients: think white chocolate, salted caramel, dark cherry praline and tiramisu. We love that vegans are happily catered for and that there&#8217;s a plentiful supply of palette-cleansing, refreshing sorbets too. </p>

<p>So much love for this parlour on Archer Street, which sells a wide selection of classic flavours like blood orange, pistachio and hazelnut, alongside some exciting combinations just perfect for the &#8216;gram, including an apricot sherbet and a gelato stuffed brioche. Major bonus points for the late opening times (until midnight on Fri and Sat) which makes it a sweet spot to head after a movie, play or drinks. </p>

<p>Check out their Instagram if you want some ice cream inspo. Each square contains a beautifully styled photo of some of their top sellers, including the legendary ice bream brioche and spoonfuls of yogurt and wild berries gelato. The parlour on Great Windmill Street&#8217;s just as stylish, selling delicious Italian ice cream and curious creations like the Mimi, a gelato based with sponge cake and rum drops. Also serves a banging cup of coffee and is open from midday to midnight. </p>

<p>It&#8217;s all about the exotic medley of flavours at this artisanal, experimental Italian ice cream parlour, where vanilla would be seen as a bit meh. To give you an indication of the delights to come, honey rosemary and orange zest gelato is its best-seller. We&#8217;ll have a Bellini sorbet to go, thanks. </p>

<p>The first Morellis parlour opened in Broadstairs in 1932, luckily they also went on to open a branch in Covent Garden just off the Piazza, which tourists and Londoners flock to all summer long. It&#8217;s rather old school and glam and serves gelato, sorbets and soft vanilla alongside Instagrammable signature sundaes, its own-blend Kilimanjaro coffee and, our favourite, glasses of Venetian Prosecco. Go for the gelato, people-watching and Euro holidays vibes. </p>
