<p>Just like the weather, London&#8217;s restaurant scene is hotting up in June. Among the dozens of recent new openings a few have really stood out thanks to standout features like chocolate Negroni fountains or menus straight out of North Africa.  </p>

<p>Everyone&#8217;s raving about this  place right now, including restaurant critic Grace Dent, who pronounced it &#8216;the next era of restaurants&#8217; in her gushing<em> Guardian</em> review. What&#8217;s all the fuss about? Well, it&#8217;s serving a mash-up of wildly tasty North African food in a sexy (very low-lit) setting on Dean Street, bang in the middle of Soho. Chef Meedu Saad, previously at <a href="https://kilnsoho.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kiln</a>, is heading up the kitchen where exciting Egyptian flavours dominate and unusual dishes like duck stuffed with black lime and chillies roasted over wood embers litter the menu. Go for the food, stay for the ambience. </p>

<p>Straight outta New York&#8217;s West Village, Buvette&#8217;s just opened in buzzy Neal&#8217;s Yard with a menu inspired by French bistros via the Big Apple. Open all day from breakfast through to dinner, it&#8217;s also offering a mighty brunch &#8211; think steak tartare, croque monsieur or eggs and prosciutto with parmesan shavings. The decor&#8217;s on point too, with exposed brick walls, red doors, wood furniture, marble-topped bar and, best of all for summer, there&#8217;s a scattering of al fresco tables and chairs in Neal&#8217;s Yard courtyard. Bon&nbsp;appétit. </p>

<p>Oo la la! More French fare to scoff at new bistro Chez Rose, which has opened its doors last week on the former site of Little Social on Pollen Street. Created by chefs Spencer Metzger and Jason Atherton, who have form when it comes to working together &#8211; their last collab, <a href="https://www.rowon5london.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Row on 5</a>, bagged two Michelin stars. Expect a deliciously simple menu with the best quality ingredients, from Maldon oysters and Cornish cod with mussels and sorrel to a delicious creme caramel dessert. Two-course prix fixe menu is a reasonable-for-Mayfair £28pp.</p>

<p>If luxury is what you’re after, look no further than the popular NYC restaurant bar Dante which, after a successful pop-up is, as of the 4 June, now a permanent fixture at Claridge’s. The food’s SO good, from spiced huevos rancheros to classic New York strip with chimichurri, but it’s the cocktail menu that’s been the talk of the town (Instagram), particularly the Chocolate Negroni Fountain.</p>

<p>Ok technically this new place is a bar with bites rather than a restaurant, however the bites include Monster Munch so we felt compelled to include. A cocktail bar and martini shop on Bruton Place run by James Stevenson and Guy Mazuch, who cut their hospitality teeth together working at JKS restaurants. It&#8217;s all retro glam, including staff wearing white jackets, and the menu&#8217;s brilliant. Guests are given a martini card to choose a base spirit, style it&#8217;s served and toppings &#8211; make Muddy&#8217;s a dry martini with a pickled onion Monster Munch garnish. Cheers. </p>
