<p>It&#8217;s easy to entertain little ones on a day out in the capital. By the time they&#8217;ve toddled around the Natural History Museum, rolled down the big slope in Tate Modern&#8217;s Turbine Hall, eaten a churro on the South Bank and run around Regent&#8217;s Park, it&#8217;s time to go home tired and happy. But teens? It&#8217;s a whole lot trickier. Suddenly the things that kept them amused are boring or babyish. In a bid to bond while keeping screens at bay, here&#8217;s a curated guide of tried-and-tested, teen-friendly things to do in the capital. </p>

<p>Gotta major Matcha-lover on your hands? Take them to <a href="https://www.blankstreet.com/en-GB/locations/london/LX33WNSYP686X-mayfair" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Blank <span>Street Coffee</span></a>, a cute coffee shop chain that started out in Brooklyn and is instantly recognisable thanks to its sage green colour scheme, which is as pleasing as the drinks on offer &#8211; they offer everything from blueberry to cookies and cream matchas. They might also covet the Blank Street merch, including green stripy boxer shorts and a Matcha green nail polish *eye roll*.</p>

From a brow shape at the Benefit Brow Bar to a ten-minute (complimentary) skin diagnosis and brand events, like a Sephora x Estée Lauder pop up this weekend (5-7 Sept) where you can pick up a free 10-day sample, ice cream and exclusive gift with any purchase, a trip here is never going to disappoint a make-up obsessed teen. </p>

<p>Got a wannabe Nick DiGiovanni on your hands? If the answer&#8217;s yes then a cookery session with a pro will go down a storm. The <a href="https://jamieolivercookeryschool.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jamie Oliver Cookery School </a>in Islington has proved so popular, he&#8217;s just opened a new one in John Lewis &amp; Partners in Oxford Street and it&#8217;s the ideal place for a Youtube-influenced foodie teen to pop an apron on and get involved. Whether they want to be a Pasta Masta or learn how to make Vietnamese Street Food, the £75 two-hour workshops are excellent. Muddy took a teen on a Sushi making session and was impressed by the professional set up, guidance and facilities (and the fact the teen managed to make maki rolls without crashing out). </p>

From candles, incense and charms to crystal balls, wands, dowsing tools, cauldrons and statues, this is THE best place for parents of pagans. </p>

<p>Believe us, you can’t go wrong taking teens to <a href="https://london.mocomuseum.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Moco Museum</a> (tickets £18) near Marble Arch. Possibly the most accessible, exciting museum gallery in the capital right now, it’s aimed at a younger crowd and shows pop culture exhibits – think Warhol, Banksy, Hirst – plus immersive and digital art too. There’s a Robbie Williams exhibit on currently, which critics have panned but is still worth a view.</p>

<p>They might have watched TV smash hit <em>Stranger Things</em> when they were kids, but now they&#8217;re teens and the final series ever is about to drop in November &#8217;25, so this is a great time to see the show and recap.&nbsp;<em><a href="https://uk.strangerthingsonstage.com/family-booking/?utm_source=google&amp;utm_medium=paid_search&amp;utm_campaign=pmax&amp;gad_source=5&amp;gclid=EAIaIQobChMItfyrz9ykjAMVPJODBx0KdA6PEAAYASAAEgI0rfD_BwE" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stranger Things: The First Shadow</a></em> at the&nbsp;Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins in 1959 and centres around a young Jim Hopper, Joyce and new student Henry Creel. It’s a brilliant production that fills in the pre-story nicely but be warned, it’s quite creepy so definitely not for younger kids, we’d say 11+.</p>

<p>Italian Bear Chocolate is a thing. Its lush melts of milk, dark or gianduia (hazelnut) cocoa are a taste and social media sensation so better book ahead. Best of all, while your teen takes snaps, you can indulge in your own chocolate heaven &#8211; but will it be a small, regular or large hot choc, with a cinnamon, cardamon, chilli, black pepper or ginger twist? Or a slice of their insanely chocolaty chocolate cake? Decisions, decisions. </p>

<p>The O2 isn’t just a concert venue, there are lots of other things to do in the cavernous space including interactive footie sessions at <a href="https://www.theo2.co.uk/do-more-at-the-o2/toca-social" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TOCA Social</a>. Ok it’s not a high brow exhibition or thoughtful play, but teens do get to kick balls at illuminated targets including the Eliminator round which involves shooting at head shots of who they&#8217;re playing against &#8211; therapeutic if you&#8217;ve just had a row. Afterwards, they (and you) can hit the Dessert Room. Under 18s are allowed in before 7pm Mon-Thurs and you can book up to 12 people so they can take their mates. </p>

<p>Ideal for younger teens, <a href="https://bubble-planet.com/london/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bubble Planet</a> is very pink and visually appealing, so it&#8217;s hard to blame anyone Snapchatting their way around it. A short 10-minute walk from Wembley Park station, it has 11 immersive rooms with everything from bubble displays to an infinity mirror and giant ball pit, so you can throw the teens in and go for a coffee or get involved. The choice is yours. Alternatively, check out <a href="https://ballieballerson.com/london/kids/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ballie Ballerson</a> in Shoreditch which now does parties for teens aged 13-16 years. </p>

<p>It&#8217;s easy to forget Camden is a still a scene. Teen tribes continue to congregate there, buzzing around the lock and market where student Muddy once had a secondhand stall selling vintage Adidas T-shirts (but spent the profits at the Man in the Moon pub). Ahem. Talking of pubs, Amy Winehouse&#8217;s favourite boozer <a href="https://thehawleyarms.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Hawley Arms</a> is a good place to take a music-obsessive for food and then there&#8217;s the iconic <a href="https://www.roundhouse.org.uk/whats-on/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Roundhouse</a>, where everyone from Blondie to the Gorillaz have played.
