The pizzas are HUGE, we&#8217;re talking 20-inches and perfect for the whole family to share, that&#8217;s if you can all agree on a topping, if you can&#8217;t, avoid the arguments by ordering individual (and equally huge) slices. They even do takeaway if you fancy grabbing your pizza to go.</p>

Not your typical Indian restaurant, Dishoom pays homage to the old Irani cafés of Bombay where good food and relaxed vibes for all are the orders of the day. Its all-day menu has plenty of choice, we like ordering multiple plates which are great for family feasting, but if you have a <em>Gavin and Stacey </em>Smiffy type amongst you opposed to the idea of sharing, larger stand alone dishes are also available. Kids can order of the main menu and get stuck in with family sharing or there are gently spiced versions of classic dishes like the paneer tikka or murgh malai on the kids menu. </p>

<p>Though a restaurant belonging to a multi-Michelin star-winning chef wouldn&#8217;t normally spring to mind when it comes to dining with the kids, yet Gordon Ramsay&#8217;s slick city central spot, <a href="https://www.gordonramsayrestaurants.com/heddon-street-kitchen/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Heddon Street Kitchen</a>, is surprisingly child friendly. The kid&#8217;s menu is populated with fan favourites like macaroni cheese and bangers and mash plus kids under 8s eat for free, so a big win on the purse strings! Adults can choose from elevated British classics like courgette and pesto lasagne and potted Devonshire crab served with crumpets and pickles washed down with a G&amp;T. If you&#8217;re organised, eat pre show and enjoy two courses for £19.50.</p>

Offering sprogs a proper three course menu (for £10 no less), where they can chow down on a selection of antipasti to start followed by chicken Milanese, their choice of pasta <em>and </em>sauce and dessert. While adults will have a tough call choosing between La Latteria burrata and Sicilian aubergine caponata, Rigatoni, spicy fennel sausage ragu and the mouthwatering Florentine style steak. Ideally located for access to the Royal Opera House and all the West End Theatres, Cafe Murano is a pre and post theatre dinner winner.</p>

<p>This one&#8217;s for the carnivores and fans of no muss no fuss dining. <a href="https://flatironsteak.co.uk/restaurant/soho/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Flat Iron</a> does exactly what it says above the door &#8211; delicious flat iron steaks cooked to order for a sweet sum of £14 each. Classic Soho, the rickety industrial style restaurant on Beak Street is a much sought after dining spot, with queues often forming long before opening as it doesn&#8217;t take reservations. However come theatre chuck-out time you can normally snag a table easy. The menu is modest with the steak the main attraction (of course) but there&#8217;s usually a special or two available like a burger or a special cut of beef &#8211; hello Wagyu steak. The hardest thing will be choosing what sides to go for &#8211; seriously how do you pick between beef dripping chips, crispy bone marrow garlic mash and truffled macaroni cheese? </p>

If you have older kids in tow, the restaurant in Soho with its jazz lounge and nightly live music provides a luxe, mature setting to round off an evening spent in the city. The Covent Garden restaurant is more relaxed with all the same pizza fun <em>sans</em> the loud music, so a perfect option for younger kids and anyone more sensitive to loud spaces.</p>

Serving Londoners stacks on stacks of delicious pancakes for over 60 years, of course you can all fill your boots on the savoury options (smoked salmon and scrambled egg, bacon and spinach and the like) but that would be a rookie error when there’s apple and cinnamon, Nutella and Ferrero Rocher all-butter pancakes on the sweet side of the menu. With a buzzy friendly atmosphere as warm as the chocolate fudge sauce you drizzle on your pancakes, this Holborn stalwart is a real treat for the kids pre or post show.</p>
