<p>The capital&#8217;s experienced a flurry of new openings this year including seriously high end hitters such <a href="https://www.rosewoodhotels.com/en/the-chancery-rosewood" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Chancery Rosewood</a>, however hotelophiles will be happy to know there&#8217;s plenty more to come in 2026. Big names like Six Senses and Waldorf Astoria will be making their mark in central London in the new year, opening super luxurious hotels with amazing facilities, from sumptuous spas to rooftop bars. Here&#8217;s where we&#8217;ll be checking in.</p>

<p>*Sound the klaxon* Big news &#8211; the UK&#8217;s first Waldorf Astoria is officially opening in one of London’s most iconic landmarks: Admiralty Arch, opposite Buckingham Palace. Casual. Though the mega project was announced years ago, it really does seem like the hotel will finally be ready to greet guests by summer, with exciting restaurant news announced just last month. <strong>Coreus</strong> will be a swish seafood restaurant under Michelin-starred chef Clare Smyth, along with a Whiskey &amp; Seaweed Bar. While <strong>Café Boulud</strong>, an all-day French restaurant situated in the hotel’s rooftop with views of the Mall, Buck Pal and Trafalgar Square, will be chef Daniel Boulud’s much-anticipated return to the London dining scene. Any more goss? The most we can tell you is that it&#8217;s going to have 100 rooms and suites, a rooftop terrace on the sixth floor and a large spa and wellness area. Can’t wait.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>USP</strong>: The architecture! The history! This iconic building’s where former PM Sir Winston Churchill had an office and 007 author Ian Fleming.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Muddy went to the <a href="https://london.muddystilettos.co.uk/travel/the-newman-hotel/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">pre-opening party</a> in summer &#8217;25 and, from what we saw, this place has all the ingredients to be an instant hit when it opens in February. What’s the vibe?<em> Very</em>&nbsp;grown-up, sexy and<em>&nbsp;</em>fabulous, from the modern Art Deco aesthetic to the Nordic-inspired spa which takes up a whole floor, including a medical-grade halotherapy room,&nbsp;Ice Lounge, Finnish sauna and steam room. Inspired by Fitzrovia’s iconic boho characters like Nancy Cunard, there are 81 rooms and suites, a Euro-style brasserie and a rooftop floor comprising of an amazing four-bedroom Penthouse suite with private terrace (A-lister Instagram gold).&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>USP:&nbsp;</strong>Gambit Bar will be our new favourite drinking hole, with expertly mixed cocktails and cool events (yes, there will be chess).&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-3-six-senses-london-south-kensington-nbsp">3. <a href="https://www.sixsenses.com/en/new-openings/london/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Six Senses London</a>, South Kensington&nbsp;</h2>

<p>This one&#8217;s taken a while. First it was pencilled to open in spring &#8217;25, then summer and now it&#8217;s finally opening on 1 April, 2026 (from £763pn) and we&#8217;re sure that one of the world&#8217;s best spa brands taking over a former Art Deco department store close to Hyde Park will have been worth the wait. What we know so far is that there&#8217;ll be 109 rooms and suites, contemporary Brit art and Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar and Café with courtyard dining. Spa-wise, we’re expecting big things, obvs, and like the sound of the 20-metre indoor pool, treatment rooms, wellness journeys and biohacking lounge.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>USP:</strong>&nbsp;Form an orderly queue to join private members club Six Senses Place, which will have a co-working space and restaurant.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-4-the-other-house-covent-garden-nbsp">4. <a href="https://otherhouse.com/covent-garden/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Other House</a>, Covent Garden&nbsp;</h2>

<p>This apartment/hotel/members club is set to open in spring and sounds intriguing. Signature Club Flats, which have the flexibility and services of a hotel, but the exclusiveness and facilities of a private members club, will come with a lounge, kitchenette, bedroom and en suite bathroom with rainfall shower. Decor will be luxe and maximalist (velvets, bold botanical prints), there’ll be all-day dining at The Other Kitchen and drinks at cocktail bar Owl &amp; Monkey will be the icing on the cake.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>USP:</strong>&nbsp;It’s going to have a rooftop bar (The Peacock lounge) with panoramic views of Covent Garden’s piazza, need we say more?&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-5-the-zetter-bloomsbury-nbsp">5. <a href="https://thezetter.com/bloomsbury/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Zetter</a>, Bloomsbury&nbsp;</h2>

<p>Muddy’s a fan of Zetter’s two London townhouse hotels, so we&#8217;re looking forward to checking in when it opens its third getaway in March 2026. A stone’s throw from the British Museum and set in a row of elegant townhouses, it’s going big on Georgian-inspired Brit style, with four-poster beds, claw-foot tubs, muted patterned and vintage fabrics (think bay windows with striped curtains), toiletries by Brit brand VERDEN and The Orangery restaurant. &nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>USP:&nbsp;</strong>Londoners are going to love hanging out in the tree-lined garden terrace and outdoor restaurant. </p>

<p>Fancy a stay at one of London&#8217;s poshest addresses? If it&#8217;s a yes, you&#8217;d better book a night at Cambridge House when it opens in March. Situated at 98 Piccadilly, the Palladian mansion was once the home of the&nbsp;Duke of Cambridge and Lord Cholmondeley, and later the base of the Naval and Military Club, in other words, it&#8217;s got history and class by the bucket load. Part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, there will be 102 rooms, Auberge Spa, Georgian ballroom, numerous restaurants and a private members club. Hurry up and open already! </p>



<p><strong>USP:</strong> The open air jasmine courtyard sounds like a place we&#8217;re going to want to meet friends for cocktails this summer. </p>
