<p><a href="https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/leigh-bowery" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Leigh Bowery</a>‘s short but uniquely remarkable life is being celebrated at Tate Modern from<strong> 27 Feb</strong>, and we can’t wait to visit this weekend. He wore a lot of different hats, literally and figuratively – artist, performer, model, TV personality, club promoter, fashion designer and musician, known across the board for his taboo-busting tastes. This eclectic and immersive exhibition allows us to experience his many ‘looks’ and see their influence across all that we have considered ‘cool’ ever since. Yep, Leigh’s still pretty cutting-edge.</p>

<p>Legendary actor <strong>Cate Blanchett</strong> is returning to the London stage on<strong> 26 Feb</strong> to star in Duncan Macmillan and Thomas Ostermeier’s new version of Chekhov’s <a href="https://www.barbican.org.uk/whats-on/2025/event/the-seagull" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>The Seagull</em>.</a> No stranger to treading the London boards (she last appeared in <em>When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other</em>at the National Theatre in 2019), Cate plays Arkadina, an actress, alongside Tom Burke (<em>Macbeth, The Crown</em>)d. This production reunites the pair, who filmed on Steven Soderbergh’s <em>Black Bag</em> last year. Runs until 5 April. </p>

<p>If you&#8217;re in the market for some original art work for your home, make your way to <strong>Somerset House</strong> this weekend where international craft and art fair <a href="https://www.somersethouse.org.uk/whats-on/collect-2025" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Collect 2025</a> is taking place <strong>(27 Feb-2 March; tickets £29)</strong>. With more than 40 galleries from across the globe representing over 400 contemporary artists, there&#8217;s a vast range of pieces to browse including ceramics, furniture, glass, wearable art, metalwork, sculpture, textiles and woodwork.
