<p>The spirit of Bavaria hits Oktoberfest Reading from Friday for two days of merriment in a lively beer hall, filled with buzzing energy and tantalising aromas. <p>Bookworms, rejoice! The Bury St Edmunds Literary Festival kicks off this weekend until <strong>Wed 23 Oct</strong> at two locations around the gorgeous town: the Unitarian Meeting House on Churchgate Street and the Guildhall. The headline events include talks with Clare Chambers, Janice Hallett, Kiran Millwood Hargrave and Tom de Freston. There are also three children’s events and this part of the festival operates on a ‘pay what you can’ basis making it accessible for all families.</p>
