<p>It was only a matter of time before the reality TV franchise based a show in the capital. What we know so far is that it&#8217;s being produced by the team behind <em>Made in Chelsea</em>, and currently being filmed in and around the big smoke before being aired later this year. But who&#8217;s in the cast we hear you cry? Well the &#8216;wives&#8217; signed up to follow in the stilettoed footsteps of stars like Lisa Vanderpump (<em>The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills</em>) so far include Karen Loderick-Peace (fashion designer, mum-of-three, married to former West Ham chairman Jeremy Peace), Nessie Welschinger (founder of Chelsea Cake Company, has been on <em>Bake Off</em>!), skincare entrepreneur Amanda Cronin, socialite Panthea Parker, Juliet Angus (has previously appeared in <em>Ladies of London</em>) and Juliet Mayhew, an event and lifestyle imaginator (whatever that is). We can&#8217;t wait to watch the jet set lifestyles, glam clothes and celebrity appearances &#8211; Panthea&#8217;s pals with Jennifer Lopez, and Nessie&#8217;s cooked up a storm for stars around the world &#8211;  later this year. </p>

<p>There’s been a buzz about <a href="https://thenewman.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Newman</a> in Fitzrovia since the start of the year and now it&#8217;s finally set to open its doors. Muddy&#8217;s received an invite for a sneak peak launch party on <strong>10 July</strong>, so we&#8217;ll be strapping on our stillys and going to check out what looks like&nbsp;<em>very</em>&nbsp;arty and&nbsp;<em>very&nbsp;</em>fabulous interiors inspired by Fitzrovia’s iconic boho characters like Nancy Cunard. Love. We&#8217;ll have a sniff around the 81 rooms and suites, Euro-style brasserie, Nordic-inspired spa and rooftop floor comprising of an amazing four-bedroom suite and private terrace (A-lister Instagram gold) and the Gambit Bar, which looks set to be our new night out obsession, with expertly mixed cocktails and cool events (yes, there will be chess) and report back asap. </p>

<p>If you haven&#8217;t caught up on the controversy surrounding <em><a href="https://muddystilettos.tixculture.com/london/shows/43533-evita" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Evita</a></em>, let us fill you in. Andrew Lloyd Weber&#8217;s musical opened for a 12-week run at <strong>The Palladium</strong> mid-June and Rachel Zegler (<em>Snow White</em>, <em>West Side Story</em>) stars as Eva Peron. So far, so good. The part that&#8217;s caused the headlines is when Zegler leaves the stage to belt out <em>Don&#8217;t Cry For Me Argentina</em> from a balcony to the public in the street below. Cue big crowds getting a performance for free, and ticket holders inside watching it on a live screen. It&#8217;s divided theatre goers, delighted Londoners too broke to buy theatre tickets and been a fabulous marketing strategy. Want to see what all the fuss is about? You&#8217;ll need to be in Argyl Street at around 9.05pm to catch the performance IRL. </p>

<p>For one weekend a year only community-run Carshalton Lavender Co lets in the public to help with its annual lavender harvest (<strong>26-27 July</strong>, 10am-5pm), which is a dream for nature-lovers and Instagrammers alike. If you&#8217;re keen to get in on the fragrant pick-your-own fun, <a href="https://carshaltonlavender.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">book a ticket</a> online and head to the Stanley Road site (there are lots of trains from Victoria, West Croydon and Sutton to Carshalton Beeches Station, a ten-minute walk away), where there&#8217;s the chance to gather your own bunches of lavender, plus stalls selling lavender-based products. Scent-sational. </p>

<p>Big news for art-lovers! <a href="https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/press/hayward-gallery-will-present-gilbert-george-21st-century-pictures/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">21st Century Pictures</a> (7 Oct-11 Jan 2026), an exhibition dedicated to iconic artists Gilbert &amp; George, will be launching at the Hayward Gallery in October and feature works dating back 25+ years. To celebrate the landmark exhibit, the Royal Festival Hall on Southbank is putting on <a href="https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/whats-on/gilbert-george-sex-money-race-religion-live/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gilbert &amp; George: Sex, Money, Race, Religion</a> (5 Oct; tickets from £9.50) which will see their striking art projected onto a huge screen while the London Philharmonic Orchestra performs.
