<p>Millennial indie music was the soundtrack of a generation and we can&#8217;t help but feel nostalgic for all the 1999-2009 era bands that had us jumping around clubs and pubs. So imagine our excitement when loads of our former faves suddenly announced tours, London gigs and celebrations of 20-year-old albums this year. We&#8217;re giving you ample warning of dates and venues, so there&#8217;s no excuse not to dust down your DMs, pull on an over-sized check shirt and book your ticket back to the early 00s asap</p>

<p>Ok <em>Suede</em> aren&#8217;t strictly noughties &#8211; they&#8217;ve been around for an age, bursting onto the indie scene in the mid-90s but still relevant in the 00s and tbh we still have a lot of time for Brett Anderson&#8217;s cheekbones today. The original indie Brit Pop band, their style was as strong as their lyrics and these gigs are part of a <a href="https://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/events/suede-takeover/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Suede Takeover</a> month at <strong>Southbank Centre</strong>, which includes a Q&amp;A with the band (12 Sept), acoustic set (17 Sept) and Suede with Paraorchestra &amp; Charles Hazlewood (19 Sept). </p>

<p>They wrote the catchiest tune of the 00s, <em>That&#8217;s Not My Name</em>, and we couldn&#8217;t get enough of their debut album <em>We Started Nothing, </em>(or vocalist Kate White&#8217;s fringe) back in the day. Since those heady days the duo have released five albums, including their latest release <em>Home</em>, which they&#8217;re taking on tour (<a href="https://www.ticketweb.uk/event/the-ting-tings-earth-tickets/14320493?utm_medium=affiliate&amp;REFERRAL_ID=tmfeed&amp;irgwc=1&amp;utm_source=219208-Bandsintown&amp;utm_campaign=219208&amp;clickId=TpW3HGUfnxycT942NXVAwV2WUkpwBF2k2yKlTY0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tickets</a> £29.50), including a boisterous night at EartH on Stoke Newington Road in Dalston. Can&#8217;t wait. </p>

<p>If, like Muddy, you can sing all the words to <em>Naive</em> and <em>She Moves In Her Own Way </em>(released 2006) but can&#8217;t remember your banking PIN number, The Kooks are probably top of your must-see live list this Autumn. Tousled-haired Luke Pritchard and co, who formed the iconic band in Brighton two decades ago, released their seventh album this year (and good vibes single <em>Sunny Baby</em> this summer), so there&#8217;s plenty of new material to listen to &#8211; though let&#8217;s be real, it&#8217;s the classics that&#8217;ll have us on our feet. <p>W<em>aaay</em> back, even before the 00s,<em> Radiohead </em>dominated the indie rock scene worldwide &#8211; who can forget the tingles you got from hearing single <em>Creep</em> for the first time, or listening to landmark album <em>Ok, Computer</em> on repeat? This tour is the first they&#8217;ve done for more than seven years so, no surprise, it&#8217;s gonna be a sell out. <a href="https://www.theo2.co.uk/events/detail/radiohead" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tickets go on sale</a> <strong>12 Sept</strong> at 10am, but pre-registration has ended, so unless you know someone who&#8217;s been sent a registration code (you can buy up to four tickets if you get one), it&#8217;s probably not going to happen this time around. </p>

<p>Remember these Scottish indie rockers? If you do, you might be shocked to discover that next year is the 20th Anniversary of their debut album <em>Costello Music</em>, and they&#8217;re celebrating the milestone with a big tour. It might be two decades on, but you can still expect to find us front of the stage singing <em>Henrietta</em>, <em>Whistle for the Choi</em>r and <em>Chelsea Dagger</em> at the tops of our lungs. <p><em>Florence + The Machine</em> burst onto the indie scene in 2027 and flame haired Florence Welch&#8217;s haunting vocals went on to mainstream domination. They&#8217;ve never really faded (we&#8217;ve still got the love) and are still relevant in 2025 &#8211; think Radio 1 live lounge session in October. This tour celebrates the release of Florence&#8217;s sixth studio album, <em>Everybody Scream</em>, which is out on October 31. The first batch of <a href="https://www.seetickets.com/event/florence-the-machine/the-o2-arena/3486882?aff=id1bandsintown" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tickets</a> are already sold out, but you can join a waiting list to be alerted when the next batch are released. </p>

<p>&#8216;Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, RUBYYYYYYY&#8217;. Yep, the designer indie boys are back celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their album <em>Employment </em>with a major tour, and we&#8217;re here for it. Though <a href="https://lnk.to/KaiserChiefs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">tickets</a> (from £43) appear to be selling super fast, so best snap some up quickly if you want to be in with a chance of seeing frontman Ricky Wilson live (which we do). </p>

<p>Confession: We still have a thing for <em>The Vaccines</em>. Formed in London by Justin Hayward-Young and Freddie Cowan back in 2009, they had the whole package (charisma, looks, great lyrics, guitars).<em> If You Wanna</em> is indie gold, fact, and we&#8217;re pretty sure the current <em>What Did You Expect </em>tour will be a dancing, sweaty night of pure nostalgic joy.
