<p>Restaurant and event space <a href="https://thelavery.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Lavery</a> has opened in South Kensington and it&#8217;s shot to the top of our must lunch here list. Not only is it set in a gorgeous, bright, light-filled Georgian townhouse, but the seasonal, Italian food&#8217;s worth hopping on the District Line for, think trout, Italian spinach and wild garlic aioli followed by blood orange sorbet. A perfect spot for meeting friends, or how about a solo treat following a spin around the new <a href="https://london.muddystilettos.co.uk/things-to-do/art-culture/fashion-exhibitions/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cartier exhibition</a> at the nearby V&amp;A Museum? Saturday afternoon sorted. </p>

<p>Electro pop star of the moment <strong>Charlie XCX</strong> and actor <strong>Alexander Skarsgård </strong>(<em>Big Little Lies, Fifty Shades of Grey</em>) have been snapped running around town while filming mocumentary <em>The Moment</em>, about a singer embarking on their first headline arena tour. Sounds familiar. It&#8217;s art imitating life as Charli, who&#8217;s producing and starring in the movie, is no stranger to being in the public eye following the release of her sixth album<em> Brat</em> last year, which launched a world-wide Brat summer movement. So far, she&#8217;s been filmed at <a href="https://london.muddystilettos.co.uk/travel/review-nobu-hotel-london-portman-square/">Nobu Hotel London Portman Square</a> (recently reviewed by Muddy), including catching a black cab on the way to the O2 Arena, and smoking on her balcony. It&#8217;s being directed by Aidan Zimiri, who oversaw Charli&#8217;s 360 video, and we&#8217;ll keep you posted about the release date. </p>

<p>Hot off the press:<a href="https://chiswickhouseandgardens.org.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Chiswick House &amp; Gardens</a> just has announced its summer programme and tbh we want to do it all. Not only will it be hosting Action Arena XXL, the UK’s biggest touring inflatable assault course (31 July – 3 August), and outdoor productions of Shakespeare’s&nbsp;<em>Twelfth Night</em><strong><em> </em></strong>and <em>A Midsummer Night’s Dream</em> (14-20 July) plus&nbsp;<em>Alice Through the Looking Glass&nbsp;</em>(July 5), but it&#8217;ll also be the home of Ben &amp; Jerry’s Sundaes in the Park Festival&nbsp;(26 July), which, as well as live music, includes unlimited scoops of ice cream. Sold. </p>

Served in the stunning surroundings of the iconic Grand Saloon – one of the finest Regency rooms in London &#8211; it&#8217;s delivered in two Acts. Act One&#8217;s savoury options served on a limited-edition board, crafted from the original 101-year-old stage floor removed during building restoration.&nbsp;While Act Two&#8217;s pastries and cakes are concealed beneath a red velvet curtain that&#8217;s dramatically lifted at the table for the big reveal. <p>One of Brixton&#8217;s more intimate bars, <a href="https://www.ilmaremmano.com/live-jazz" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Il Maremmano</a>, has launched Jazz@19, a new live Jazz night taking place on Thursday evenings. Catch the Victoria Line south this week (17 April) to listen to the sounds of resident band<em> The Funk Hunt</em> while sipping great cocktails, trying the Tuscan food (we&#8217;ll be hoovering up the formaggi board) and hanging out in the courtyard nursing a Negroni long after the sun has set. </p>
