The Hackney Draper, Hackney

Want to look like a boho world-roamer without the airport chaos? Enter, The Hackney Draper – a one-stop shop filled with global, artisan-made interiors.

Are you a sucker for zhuzhing up your space with worldwide collections? Us too so it’s a big thank you to the brilliant The Hackney Draper, a one-stop store of international artisans, but without the need to travel past east London.

Founded in 2014 by fifth generation draper Pat Giddens, her shop opened as a smooth extension of her well-established curtain-making business. With textiles practically running through her DNA, she had a crystal clear vision to provide handcrafted, original homewares from all over the world. Think Romanian pottery, Colombian glassware, French kitchen linens, and dashes of colour you never knew your home needed. And with Pat’s expert eye, every piece is timeless, sustainable, and built with the longevity to outlive any trend.

Sitting in the heart of Hackney on Chatsworth Road, the bespoke service draws on a rich heritage of craftsmanship when it comes to curating your project and offers the ultimate customer experience as they work directly with you. Pick from linens, cottons, velvets – all made from eco-friendly ingredients. Then, once you’re out of steam from browsing, wind down in one of the nearby restaurants (or bars) just a stone’s throw away for a tipple – your excellent taste deserves to be celebrated!
