<p>If you haven&#8217;t just been to one, you probably know someone who has. London&#8217;s social sauna scene is, well, hot right now, from catch ups with mates to dates &#8211; Tinder reporting a steamy 35 per cent rise in mentions of sauna dates last year. Tempted to try? Here&#8217;s our pick of the best places to make you sweat. </p>

<p>If you want to sweat with a view, you can&#8217;t do better than a hot sesh at these rooftop escapes. Perched on top of International House, the Brixton site offers a private sauna and cold plunge experience with spectacular north-facing views across the city (it&#8217;s dreamy at sunset). Over at the flagship site at Netil Corner in Hackney, you can enjoy sweeping views of Victoria Park and the city from your private cabin, with outdoor contrast cold plunges in the garden. </p>

<p>Forget the pub, in 2026 it&#8217;s all about socialising in a calming, comforting space, like Sauna &amp; Plunge. Journey between steam and infrared saunas with an ice dip in-between in the (3D printed!) plunge baths, and you&#8217;ll leave feeling relaxed, energised and more focused. </p>

<p>Dubbed London&#8217;s new home of social wellness, Rebase has a selection of saunas to choose from, including Finnish saunas (cabins set at 85-95 degrees) and infrared saunas (set at a lower 70-80 degrees), said to aid weightloss, better sleep, reduce inflammation, purify skin, detox and basically fix everything in your life. Ok the last bit&#8217;s not true, but the saunas and space are beautiful and there&#8217;s cryotherapy, contrast therapy and yoga too. </p>

<p>Not-for-profit CSB have various locations around the capital, including Hackney, Peckham, Stratford and Walthamstow, but it&#8217;s the leafy calm of Camberwell that&#8217;s our favourite. Set in Ruskin Park in Denmark Hill, it&#8217;s a much-needed slice of nature along with your sweat, featuring three saunas (including one accessible) and two cold plunges (10°C and 15°C). </p>



<p><strong>How much:</strong> A bargain, with a one-hour off-peak session costing just £9.50. </p>

<p>A sizzling pop up that&#8217;s part of the <a href="https://www.kingscross.co.uk/the-equanimity-festival" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Equanimity Festival</a>&nbsp;taking place in Coal Drops Yard until 1 March.<a href="https://slomo.me/communal-session-kings-cross" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">&nbsp;Slomo Wild Saunas</a>&nbsp;is based at Lewis Cubitt Square until 22 Feb, with communal mixed-gender sessions combined with a plunge pool and ice bath experience too.  </p>
