Just-opened Three Darlings is Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton’s fourth restaurant launch in four months (including Brit brasserie Sael, read Muddy’s review here). The brainchild of Atherton and his wife Irha (pictured), it’s inspired by the lifestyle of their three daughters, who love nothing better than a casual-yet-chic neighbourhood joint where they can drop by for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or drinks with friends. Set off Pavilion Road, its entrance is a palm-filled oasis with a year-round heated terrace. Inside, the pink-hued decor’s uplifting and there’s a long, beautifully lit bar perfect for catching up with friends (or a date!), an upper floor with larger tables and, best of all, some intimate tables for two overlooking the entire restaurant, including the open kitchen.

As you’d expect, the food offering’s as desirable as the setting. Think baked shakshuka eggs, feta and coriander for brunch, curried BBQ cauliflower and jalapeno salsa for lunch and spatchcock poussin with spicy mayo for dinner, while the Sunday roast menu includes dry-aged flanks of beef.

Add to all this a stellar selection of cocktails (even the alcohol-free ones are delicious) and a well curated wine list, and Atherton’s certainly got the recipe for success.
