<p>New York Fashion week has just closed, now it&#8217;s time for London to shine. There&#8217;s a buzz in the air as <a href="https://londonfashionweek.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LFW</a> fever infects the city this weekend (<strong>19-23 Feb</strong>). This year there&#8217;s a real mix of iconic names (oh hi Emilia Wickstead, Jenny Packham, Simone Rocha, Burberry) plus plenty of edgy up-and-coming brands. It&#8217;s a chance to pick up key trends for A/W26 and celebrate the creative and eccentric world of London fashion. Here are our five ones to watch.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-onalaja"><a href="https://londonfashionweek.co.uk/designers/onalaja" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ONALAJA</a></h2>

<p>Every day&#8217;s a red carpet day at Onalaja, where sexy beaded gowns with a nod to Nigerian fashion have been worn by the likes of Lizzo and Jennifer Hudson. The brainchild of Kanyinsola Onalaja, who was born in Nigeria and honed her craft in Italy and London, we love the maximalism and fact that sizes range from an inclusive XXS to XXXXL, meaning women with actual curves can get in on the glam. The LFW show takes place on <strong>20 Feb</strong>. </p>

<p>The one to watch. Hollywood movie star Florence Pugh opened the Harris Tweed show in a black hooded dress and corset back at LFW last February, so we&#8217;re excited to see who and what this week&#8217;s runway (<strong>19 Feb</strong>) delivers. Expect an electric atmosphere and out of this world gender-fluid clothes, models and frow &#8211; he&#8217;s dressed everyone from Beyoncé to Harry Styles&#8217; on his famous <em>Vogue</em> cover. </p>

<p>LFW wouldn&#8217;t be the same without Londoner Quinn&#8217;s creative couture &#8211; think florals, sumptuous silhouettes and imaginative evening wear. A Central St Martin&#8217;s alumni, he&#8217;s dressed everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Amal Clooney and Lady Gaga, but despite the big name mainstream clients and all the press he&#8217;s still a favourite of the fashion pack too. We can&#8217;t wait to see his latest designs on <strong>21 Feb</strong>. </p>

<p>Fashion insiders have been raving about The Vxlley ever since Daniel del Valle&#8217;s debut show <em>The Narcissist</em> in 2025. Best described as &#8216;wearable art&#8217;, this is guaranteed to be one of the most exciting shows of the season if last year&#8217;s anything to go by &#8211; think bodices made from flowers (you can water them) and ceramic T-shirts constructed from shards of Victorian pottery found on the banks of the River Thames&#8230;fast fashion this is not. Show takes place <strong>21 Feb</strong>. </p>

<p>This brilliant label is part of the newly launched <a href="https://londonfashionweek.co.uk/lfw-designer-showcase" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LFW Designer Showcase</a>, a new platform connecting designers directly with local and international industry experts. Started in 2018 by Priya Ahluwalia, a designer from South West London, her collections (made from repurposed garments) are inspired by everything from art and music to literature and her Nigerian-Indian heritage. Priya’s won multiple awards and graces the wardrobes of the city’s fashion elite, who will no doubt be lining the catwalk. </p>
