<p>It&#8217;s that time of year when the stylish, creative and eccentric converge in the capital to reveal the key trends for 2025. Sure we’re looking forward to seeing A/W25 looks on the runway from fashion giants like <strong>Burberry, Simone Rocha, Erdem, Emilia Wickstead </strong>and R<strong>ichard Quinn</strong>, but even better are the quirky, unexpected and often rule-breaking brands that always add an edge to proceedings.&nbsp;</p>



<p>While much of the action&#8217;s taking place at <a href="https://www.180studios.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">180 The Strand</a>, many designers this year are investigating all kinds of ways of showcasing their work, from online catwalk shows to intimate dinner parties &#8211; here are the ones to watch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Luxury, sustainable fashion is at the core of McDowell&#8217;s arresting designs, and this season the carbon-conscious designer marks another milestone in his attempts to detoxify the fashion industry by launching  a capsule collection with bio-based indigo dye company Huue. In other news he swapped catwalk for connection, choosing to host friends for an intimate dinner and drinks at Aqua Nueva instead, telling Muddy, &#8220;This season, we wanted to take a step back from the traditional format and instead create a space for meaningful conversations and shared experiences.&#8221;&nbsp;And the collection? Gorgeous, wearable, guilt-free fashion. Oh my.  </p>

<p>There&#8217;s a lot of hype around this young Welsh designer who works with recycled, organic materials to make floaty, deconstructed, fragile clothes that have caught the eye of London stars like Michaela Coel (<em>I May Destroy You</em>). He made his LFW debut in 2023, but it was his show last season in the back garden of his Hackney home that sent fashion editors into a spin. Part of the British Fashion Council’s <strong>Newgen Collective</strong> (including Acute Sarca, Johanna Pary and Lueder), you can check out Paolo Carzana&#8217;s dreamy work at a joint BFC showroom on <strong>(24 Feb)</strong>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This brilliant label is the brainchild of Priya Ahluwalia, a designer from South West London, whose collections (made from repurposed garments) are inspired by everything from art and music to literature and her Nigerian-Indian heritage. Set up in 2018 (eons ago in fashion years), it has gone from strength-to-strength, winning multiple awards and gracing the wardrobes of the city&#8217;s fashion elite. We can&#8217;t wait to see the new collection, and also the results of the label&#8217;s recent collab with <strong>Pandora </strong>to create a customisable jewellery collection, which is being unveiled at private evening event <strong>Pandora x Ahluwalia Engraving Collection (20 Feb). </strong>. </p>

<p>If you want to get noticed, this hot London label is the one to shop. It girl actors like Daisy Edgar Jones and Emma Corrin are fans of the eye-catching, glam-yet-fashionable gowns on the red carpet, so expect to see them on the Frow. The only snag? Longer gowns tend to top £1000, though you can bag a mini dress for around £600 while tops start at around £400.&nbsp;On the LFW schedule to show the new collection at an evening event on <strong>22 Feb</strong>. </p>

<p>East London Vintage Denim was created by former fashion editor Anna Foster, and Muddy adores this label, which reworks existing jeans into new modern, sophisticated styles that can be tailored to fit every body &#8211; think shirts, jackets, trousers and, yes, even capes. Sustainable, fashionable and covetable, Anna&#8217;s a genius (or should that be jeanius?) for recycling some of the millions of jeans manufactured each year. New collection show <strong>20 Feb,</strong> with an after party at <strong>1Hotel Mayfair</strong>. </p>
