<p>If you want some dinosaur action with your dinner, you&#8217;ll be happy to hear The <strong>Natural History Museum </strong>has opened sparkling new café <a href="https://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit/eat-drink-and-shop.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Garden Kitchen</a>. It sits in five acres of landscaped gardens and is available to museum visitors AND passers-by, meaning you can nip in for a coffee and spiced butternut squash salad even if you don&#8217;t have time to wander around the dinosaur skeletons or view Wildlife Photographer of the Year.&nbsp;</p>



<p>What’s on the menu? It’s offering <a href="https://www.benugo.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Benugo’s</a> seasonal menu, so right now that&#8217;s all about Sri Lankan curry (£12), buttermilk chicken flatbread (£14) and Aubergine tempura (£7), plus sides like Garden Kitchen winter slaw (£4.50).&nbsp;There’s also a kids’ menu (£7.50) which includes carrot and cucumber sticks and mains like 5-a-day-pasta and mini fish and chips. Best of all (aside from the Nutella doughnuts and Belgium waffles), is the fact the restaurant’s located in the Evolution Garden, so you’ll get to view a diplodocus and ‘an immersive timeline on earth told through flowers, plants and geology’ while you dine. Roarsome.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The combination we never knew we needed, but are mighty happy to hear is happening. The darling of Islington&#8217;s (ok make that North London&#8217;s) food scene is bringing its renowned Italian-inspired menu to <a href="https://www.harveynichols.com/events/trullo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Harvey Nichs</a> in Knightsbridge for a three-month residency. All the ingredients of what makes Trullo so special will be there, from the fresh, seasonal ingredients to its signature white tablecloths, bentwood chairs, open kitchen and all-Italian drinks list by renowned wine buyer Will Amherst. Kicks off <strong>3 March</strong> and will be open Mon-Sun from 12.30pm–3pm and 6pm–8pm. See you on the Fifth Floor. </p>

<p>They’re a mark of culinary excellence and decided by inspectors with a wealth of experience, so it’s little wonder chefs are keen on bagging an AA Rosette for their restaurant. This year’s UK Rosettes (which range from one to five) have recently been announced and the highest rated restaurant in the capital is now *drum roll* <a href="https://www.hotelcaferoyal.com/eat-drink/alex-dilling/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Alex Dilling at Hotel Café Royal</a>, which was given <strong>four Rosettes</strong> (on top of its two Michelin stars received last month at the <a href="https://london.muddystilettos.co.uk/eat-out/michelin-stars-2025-revealed-discover-londons-winners/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Michelin awards</a>).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Another day, another delectable afternoon tea launch in London. This week we are singing the praises of the <strong>Strand Palace hotel</strong>, which has a brand-new<a href="https://strand-palace.prowly.com/381448-strand-palace-launches-new-themed-mamma-mia-afternoon-tea" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> MAMMA&nbsp;MIA!-themed Afternoon Tea</a> in partnership with the smash-hit musical showing at the Novello Theatre, just a 3-minute walk away. </p>



<p>Expect savoury and sweet treats inspired by characters and iconic ABBA songs from the musical, think Donna’s Dynamo Ball, a shimmering coconut macaroon filled with citrus curd, Sophie’s Dream Lemon Drizzle Gateau, a lemon drizzle gateau topped with a candy floss cloud, served alongside Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! dark chocolate midnight cake with hazelnut praline. Traditional fruit scones – The Winner Takes The Scone – are served with clotted cream and raspberry jam. Wash it all down with tea or a selection of Champagne, Prosecco, cocktails, and mocktails. Available until November 2025, the MAMMA MIA! Afternoon Tea costs £43pp, with a children’s menu for £25</p>
