<p>The number one spot goes to David Carter’s two-storey foray into Greek island cooking. It stole the headlines and our hearts this year, with a fizzing, boisterous energy that lived long in the memory. A riotous menu of Greek cooking through a London lens, AGORA would already be an extraordinary restaurant, but it’s also gobsmackingly affordable. No wonder the queues have been around the block.</p>

<p>Michelin-starred Mexican KOL has finally blossomed into the restaurant it was always born to be. Chef Santiago Lastra presents modern Mex  cooking through the lens of exclusively British ingredients, with ingenious results. The drinks list is outstanding too.</p>

<p>This Michelin-starred chef&#8217;s table restaurant by Simon Rogan has seating for just 12 guests who enjoy an exclusive, interactive dining experience in which chefs cook and explain dishes at every stage. The menu follows a farm-to-fork ethos, with seasonal ingredients sourced from Rogan&#8217;s Lake District farm.</p>
